WHĀNAU SUPPORT

Life challenges can affect us all. Sometimes we might need extra help to deal with them. Whether it's worries with housing, education, work, building connections, or building your whānau, we are here to listen and help.

Our Whānau Support team can walk you through whatever is currently happening for you. They offer calm support and guidance and provide advocacy when that is needed. They are there to support you in achieving your goals in a kind and confidential manner.

FOOD
SUPPORT

We can provide you with a referral for a Food Parcel from the Foodbank.

After three parcels, the Foodbank will require you to see a  financial mentor before you can receive another package. However, we encourage you to work with us before then as we can often help you to overcome the financial difficulties that cause you to need a food parcel. We can also start delivering the food parcel directly to your door.

COMMUNITY CONNECTOR

People may be referred to us, or they may self-refer. We work with individuals and whānau to understand their current situation and needs for accessing services and support. Then, we help create a plan. We have partnered with Te Piringa Collective, where the process can begin with as much or as little information as you choose to share. Alternatively, please fill in this online form or call us for more information.

The Community Connector Support aims to:

  • Introduce and connect people to local social service providers and services offered within our hāpori.

  • Empower people by offering knowledge to make informed decisions about their well-being.

  • Discuss options and help refer to support services and agencies.
